The first step in the adoption process is to fill the application out. Please fill it out in its entirety and tell us as much about yourself as possible – the more information we get the better we can match you with the right dog. We do three reference checks (only 1 can be a family member and partners/spouses do not count) and a vet check for currently or recently owned pets (if applicable). Then we do a home visit. Your application is not approved until the home visit has been done. After filling out the application, please e-mail it to GreatBabiesRescue@yahoo.com
The adoption fee is $450.00. It is non-negotiable. The adoption fee includes spayed/neutered (age appropriate), and vaccinated (age appropriate) with rabies, DHPP and bordetella. We keep the dogs up-to-date on flea and heartworm preventative and do a heartworm test. If we know about an illness or injury when we rescue the dog, we do our best to take care of those vet costs before adoption. For puppies too young to have received all their shots and spay/neuter, we give at least one round of DHPP. The adopter is responsible for covering the cost of all booster shots and spay/neuter after adoption. We can recommend low cost spay/neuter programs and vets who accept certificates.
Meet Mel! Mel has a playful side and enjoys running around and chasing after his favorite toy. He’s an intelligent dog Mel’s ideal home would be a single man. He is slow to gain trust and warm up but once he does, he is as loyal as they come! Due to unknown factors, Mel may or may not be good with other dogs. He would benefit from slow and careful introduction to other dogs to see if they get along.
Buddy is a 15-year-old Pom mix who is looking for a calm and quiet home where he can spend his golden years. This senior pup is neutered and weighs 14 pounds. He is a sweet boy who would love to find a home where he can sit on a lap and be doted on. He is a bit unsure of other dogs but tends to get along with cats and calm dogs that won’t agitate him. He would do best in a home without any big dogs. If you’re looking for a sweet, older dog to love, consider adopting Buddy!
I’ve had a rough start to life but my foster parents have taken very good care of me and now I am ready to find my furever home! I love to run and play with my foster siblings but I am always down for a good cuddle session! Nap time is my favorite time of day as long as you are napping with me! I like little kids, they are so much fun! My foster parents say that I am between 1 and 2 years old. Will you be my new cuddle buddy?
Meet Buddy, an adorable young pup who is in need of a loving home. Buddy may be young, but he’s a very smart dog that has already learned how to sit, stay, and come on command. He’s a friendly pup who loves to play fetch and chase after his favorite toy. He’s always up for an adventure, whether it’s a walk in the park or a quick run around the backyard. While Buddy is a very sweet dog, we do not know if he is good with other dogs. He would benefit from calm, gentle owners who have experience with pets. If you think you could provide Buddy with a forever home, we would love to set up a meet-and-greet. Come fall in love with this wonderful dog!
We are confused as to why Maddie is constantly overlooked. She’s been at the rescue for almost a year…one year! Maddie is a friendly and affectionate dog, who loves to play, explore and get to know new people. She is a very loyal dog who will be a great companion and is always brave and athletic.
Maddie was found in a culvert with her siblings, where she was abandoned. Despite this difficult start, Maddie is a smart and curious dog who has done well with everyone she has met. She is a great listener and is eager to please. Maddie is also a great friend to other dogs. She is a young dog with a lot of love to give and is hoping to find a forever home where she can be the center of attention.
Janet, the ADORABLE 2-3 year young Yorkie (mix?) has spent her entire young life being a MOM in a hoarding and neglect case. Now she is looking to be taken care of, as she DESERVES. She will grow back her long, LUSTROUS hair but had to be SHAVED due to severe matting.
Janet’s a bit of a WALLFLOWER, watching the other dogs play with wide eyes, but she’s got a heart of GOLD. She’s the girl who lights up when someone comes home, and she’d melt your HEART with her cuddles.
This crate-trained cutie LOVES snuggling up close and personal, and her favorite pastime is people-watching. She’s still figuring out this whole “toy” thing, but she’s got people skills DOWN PAT!
You’ve got a friend in me!
Are you looking for a small friend? Jesse is the perfect size! She’s about 4 pounds now at 7 weeks. She’s a Yorkie Mix (not sure who the daddy was)
Jesse will be ready for her new family after 9/5/2025

I am 4-5 months old and they say I am a Border Collie/Husky mix, whatever that means. I know I am 100% cute! I am a very rambunctious and adventurous girl. That means I like to play A LOT! I’m very friendly and love attention.
Hi! I’m Blanche. I am a BIG cuddle bug. I CAN be adventurous, but really I would much rather hang out and lay around then go dive into something. They say I have a very level headed demeanor and overly sweet. Really I’m just a lover, not a fighter. Can you be my new best friend?
